Thank you to all of you for your faithfulness to Downtown Daily Bread (DDB) food pantry. Recently a visit to DDB’s pantry showed its orderliness and well run process for persons who visit. The pantry is open 3 days a week for approximately 5 hours a day. Those persons visiting the pantry enter the room one at a time to pick out their food. The donated plastic grocery bags are being put to good use for carrying home the food items. While cloth bags are given to first time “shoppers”, they are given plastic bags if they forget those bags. (The plastic bags are also used throughout DDB to wrap up and dispose of heavily soiled garments and such).

Staff indicated the “shoppers” appreciate food items such as Hamburger Helper and canned tuna.

Volunteers in the Food Pantry are needed!

In this season of increased demand, we humbly reach out to you once again for support. Our pantry shelves are in urgent need of restocking, and we are inviting our church partners to help us continue feeding the community through specific donations. Currently, we are especially in need of:

  • Cereal (boxed, any variety)
  • Canned goods (soups, vegetables, beans, fruits, etc.)
  • Easy meals/sides (macaroni and cheese, boxed pasta/rice, instant meals)
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce, salad dressings)
  • Seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, etc.)

Thank you for standing with us in service. Together, we are nourishing bodies and lifting spirits—one meal, one family, one act of kindness at a time.

Any help would be appreciated. Please place your donations for DDB in the bins located outside our Communion prep room.
