Sermons

God continues to speak to the church and world through the Bible. Our sermons come from the Biblical passages from the lectionary and are thoughtfully paired with prayers, hymns, and anthems to create a beautiful worship service that glorifies God.

Help

Let us help if you are struggling with hunger and/or homelessness.

At Downtown Daily Bread, you will find breakfast and lunch meals, bathrooms, showers, mail delivery, storage lockers, clothes and other essentials.

Conversations with staff will help identify your priority needs and next best step. Common topics are housing, health insurance, laundry, identification documents, and other assistance programs.

To start, please come to the shelter in person on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The shelter is located at 234 South Street in Harrisburg across the street from the State Capitol Building on N. Third Street.
