January 5 – “How to Help” (Bagels and Belief)
The Rev. Ruth Moore will prepare us to help those with a mental illness cope, dispelling common myths, sharing valuable resources, and supplying statistics. She’ll also preach at the 10 o’clock service. Rev. Moore is the Director of Business Development and Admissions at the Pennsylvania Psychiatry Institute.
January 12 – “Suicide & its Prevention”
Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States, but you can help, and Govan A. Martin III will show you how. Mr. Martin is the Executive Director of Prevent Suicide PA.
January 19 – “Overcoming Addiction”
William Milchak, MSW, will educate us on addiction, why people often struggle in silence, and treatment options such as faith-based care. Mr. Milchak is the Senior Instructor for the Department of Psychiatry at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
January 26 – Dr. Rachel L. Levine, Secretary of Health, Pennsylvania
