Pine Street Takes Part in Gulliver’s Run
As a result of contact made from our presence at this year’s WoofStock, Pine Street was invited to provide animal blessings at Gulliver’s Run on Sunday, November 7. Bob and Sue Wilson blessed quite a few animals and gave out quite a bit of Pine Street info. It started out as a very cold morning but was beautiful by midday. Since 2013, Gulliver’s Run has raised $74,000 in the fight against canine cancer. Thank you, Bob and Sue, for representing Pine Street at this event!
NO Adult Forum Tonight
Next Wednesday, November 17, Rev. Cheryl Galan, Interim Executive Presbyter, will guide us through a program entitled Soul-Tending for the Church in Times of Change. Forums will then return in December with a 4-week series entitled Feasting Habits for the Soul, a Practical Guide to Prayer, Bible Devotion, and More led by Deborah Port. Look for more information in upcoming weeks!
Preparing the Path to the Future – Updates from the Transition Team and the Interim Search Committee
The Transition Team held an informational meeting with Session this week to review and discuss the Executive Summary of the Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT). Elders engaged open discussion about what the survey results are telling about the needs of the congregation and community. We made plans for sharing the information with church boards, committees, and the congregation. Look for announcements regarding upcoming informational sessions to learn more about the assessment and how to become involved in the future planning for Pine Street.
This week the Interim Search Committee continues its discernment, presenting a candidate for Interim Pastor to Pine Street’s Session and to the Presbytery. We hope to bring the search process to a conclusion soon.
If you have questions or concerns about the interim search committee or transition team, please do not hesitate to contact David Colestock at 717-645-6174 or [email protected]. Please continue to keep the Transition Team, Interim Search Committee, staff, officers, and congregation in your prayers as we continue to prepare this path to our future together.

Advent Breakfast, November 28th
On the first Sunday of Advent, we will gather at 8:45 am for a delicious breakfast prepared by our favorite chefs, Suzanne and Michael Hogarth. There will be no Church School classes that morning. Children join their families for breakfast and an Intergenerational Advent program.
Email the church office at [email protected] or sign up at the Welcome Center so we can better estimate attendance. An offering will be received to cover the cost of the meal.
