Showers of Spring Blessings!
Two Pine Street families welcomed new little ones this past week.

Marna and Roger Holt welcomed a new granddaughter, Inaya Lorraine. Nicholas now has a new sister!! Inaya was 4 lbs, 5 oz and 16 1/2″ long. She is now home with mom and big brother. Congratulations to Connie, Marna, and Roger!

Jennifer Gardner is also a grandma again! Grayson Lee Horst was born March 30 to Jennifer’s daughter, Alicia J. Horst and husband, Josh Horst.

PC (USA) Research Surveys
As part of its regular work, our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA), regularly collects information from church members. This information is used to guide and direct denominational work. These surveys are one way for you to make your voice heard by our denomination. The PC(USA) is conducting several surveys over the next few months to compliment the work of the General Assembly from 2022. As they are applicable, please take a moment to fill out the surveys.

The first survey covers marriage and romantic relationships, family structures, and expressions of gender identity. The surveyors recognize that some of these topics can be sensitive, so they encourage respondents to skip any questions with which they are uncomfortable.

Pine Street Walkers Enjoyed the Bluebells

After church on April 16, Pine Street Walkers enjoyed a walk on the Hummel Nature Trail and around Schiavoni Park in Hummelstown. Bluebells were in spectacular full bloom! Keep an eye out for information on a May hike!

Current COVID Procedure

Pine Street Presbyterian Church will follow CDC guidelines to ease masking requirements and allow in-person gatherings, including food. While Dauphin and Cumberland Counties are in the low or medium community levels (according to the CDC’s “COVID-19 by County” page found at:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html). Masks will be optional for all Pine Street events, including worship. Session and staff will monitor the community levels and change health and safety guidelines if the local counties are high. Worshipers are welcome to wear masks if that helps them feel comfortable in worship.
