Wednesday Adult Forum TONIGHT at 7pm via Zoom
The current 3-week Adult Forum series will be exploring racial justice..
This teach-in series equips folks with the tools to begin engaging the difficult work of uncovering systems of power, domination, and oppression at work within us all. In our three-part series, we address the ways in which systemic racism and white supremacy function, how to address internalized dominance and white fragility, and how to take action in our congregations and communities to decenter whiteness and integrate racial justice tactics in our ministries.
Tonight we will:
• Distinguish between decentering whiteness and white silence
• Discuss the ways white supremacy appears in spaces even when no white people are present
• Offer a theological praxis for working to dismantle systems that uphold white supremacy and division.

Pine Street Goes Wild!
Engaging Our Neighbors Team has exciting news! Pine Street has been accepted as a participant in the Art in the Wild-The Outdoor Environmental Art Exhibit at Wildwood Park for 2022!
Art installations will be along the walking trail from April 3 to Sept 30, 2022. The overall theme is ” Sunlight and Shadows.
Pine Street’s art work will involve making wind chimes and mobiles out of natural materials.
What would Sunlight and Shadows “sound” like?
Our Title is: ” Shimmering Sunlight and Soft Shadow Sounds”
We need YOUR help in collecting Natural Materials such as : Pine cones, Feathers(do not hurt any birds in the process😀, anyone have chickens or other birds?), interesting pieces of branches, twigs, sea shells,(ones with holes really helpful), dead grapevine or other dead woody vine. We are NOT permitted to use invasive plant materials, seeds, seed heads. Also, he items must withstand 6 months of outdoor exposure.
Bring your” found treasures” to church the next 2 Sundays and place the bags in the plastic bins in the Gathering Space. Plan to stay after church Sunday March 6 to help string together some of these items. There might be some painting involved so bring clothing that can get a little messy.
Be a part of Creating Something Together…and we don’t exactly know how it will end up…. it is a creative work in progress. Just Like Us!

Anyone planning to travel is warmly invited. With the safety of our community in mind, we may offer an outdoor only coffee hour as Covid safety protocols and New England weather allow.
If anyone would like to make a gift in memory of Carl, below are two charities that were meaningful to him and reflect his life and work. During his tenure as pastor of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Carl devoted much energy to supporting and growing the church’s Community Lunch Program. Those efforts are carried on today by Broadway Community:

After his move to Northampton, MA, Carl continued to support food access at Manna Community Kitchen, whose head chef, Lee Anderson, became a valued friend:
